Fantasy RB1 if healthy but a dislocated ankle complicates
It'll be the same top-3 RBs for the Giants, which led to Skattebo running away with bellcow touches before a dislocated ankle ended a potential rookie of the year season. He was the RB9 on RB15 usage when he went down. Dislocated ankles typically do not result in missed games the following season, but skill players like Dak Prescott and Tony Pollard have had dips in efficiency in their returning season. That should be the baseline for Skattebo; Week 1 starter but on slightly less volume and slightly less efficiency. For what it's worth (something), Skattebo landed a backflip during his home run trot at a celebrity softball game on May 30th. The good news is the Giants' offseason has been a big win for Skattebo. They added nobody at RB, drafted powerful OG Francis Mauigoa 10th overall, and have a coaching staff beyond obsessed with having a balanced offense. Even Jaxson Dart recently said, "It sounds like we’re not going to be throwing the ball a lot. We’re going to keep giving it to [Cam Skattebo] until they can stop it." That's Harbaugh for ya, especially with Malik Nabers needing a clean-up procedure on his ACL and meniscus tear. Skattebo has an Underdog ADP of 43rd overall as the RB19. That's a real discount to where he was last year. Appropriate given the injury, but intriguing in terms of upside, especially late into 2026 if Dart improves and Skattebo is healthier. He's equally good in PPR as half PPR because he was the RB10 in receptions per game (3.1) from Week 2 on.
