Wide Receiver · Denver Broncos · Age 30 · SMU · WR42 Half-PPR (Season 2026)
Courtland Sutton is ranked WR42 (overall #96) for the Season of the 2026 NFL season in Half-PPR fantasy football by Hayden of The Underdog Football Show. Hayden has Courtland Sutton ranked 13 spots lower than their Underdog ADP of 82.7, flagging this as an overvalued player.
Sutton will take target hit with Jaylen Waddle in age-30 season
Sutton has been an underrated player and fantasy asset since his ACL tear, but it's now time to re-set expectations after the Broncos had an outlier healthy season and then since traded a 1st-rounder-plus for Jaylen Waddle. Sutton should remain a big target and TD threat, but Waddle is coming for Sutton's 21% target share and WR19 expected fantasy points. Waddle is more talented underneath and way down the field, and coach Sean Payton specializes in designing touches for his best players in them. That pivot from being No. 1 to No. 2 can't be overstated with Payton because he will still manufacture some touches for players like Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and RJ Harvey, all while running a fairly balanced offense. Sutton is also approaching the decline period of his NFL career, and Bo Nix is still coming back from another ankle surgery. The Broncos are 21st in projected points in the betting markets right now after being 15th last year. It's easy to see how he's slightly disappointing at ADP (WR38), and I don't see him burying faders for as long as Waddle is healthy. Sutton is a fine WR4 in half PPR best ball and worse than that in full PPR.
