Tight End · Los Angeles Rams · Age 23 · Oregon · TE31 Half-PPR (Season 2026)
Terrance Ferguson is ranked TE31 (overall #208) for the Season of the 2026 NFL season in Half-PPR fantasy football by Hayden of The Underdog Football Show. Hayden has Terrance Ferguson ranked 16 spots lower than their Underdog ADP of 192.3, flagging this as an overvalued player.
Ferguson can scoot, but the Rams have 5 TEs worthy of the active roster
The Ferguson role as a rookie was one of the most unique in NFL history. That's not an exageration. He was a part-time player, who did almost all of his damage in 3-TE sets, which is rarely used in the modern era. In them, Ferguson was a DEEP threat. That's right. His average depth of target was 17.9 yards downfield. The next closest TE (Darren Waller) was down at 10.3. For that reason, Ferguson's catchable ball rate was by far the worst at the position, and he didn't have a chance to compile yards after the catch or cheap receptions. He also didn't play nearly as much on early downs or in lighter personal. Instead, he'd enter the game as a lot on 3rd downs or be the vertical option off play action in heavy personnel. There's a reason HC Sean McVay uses him this way though. Ferguson can scoot. His speed makes him a mismatch off play action, especially against base defenses where he'll line up against a LB most often. When he was tightly covered, however, Ferguson just didn't come down with enough big grabs. Contested catch rate is not sticky year-over-year, but he was 1-of-8 by my tracking. Until Ferguson plays more snaps in 1- and 2-TE sets, then he won't matter in fantasy football. He caught more than 2 receptions in just 1 game as a rookie and averaged 4.4 expected half PPR points while playing in the highest-scoring offense. In 1- or 2-TE sets, he totaled 7 receptions. In 3-TE sets, 5 receptions. All of this includes the postseason. The Rams depth chart remains weak at WR behind their top-two receivers, so plenty of TEs will see snaps. They just will be divvied up between blocking savage Colby Parkinson, veteran Tyler Higbee, 2nd-round rookie Max Klare, and Davis Allen. Unfortunately, Higbee signed a two-year extension this offseason, so I doubt we'll see the snap increase we need. Ferguson has theoretical upside, but he belongs on the waiver wire until proven otherwise. The baseline assumption should be Parkinson leads the room in receiving.
