Harris shows toughness but lacks sizzle as a Chargers part-time WR3
Harris is a better pro than fantasy asset right now. He's a tough player who was subbed in to be a blocker in more balanced looks, and then also made some tougher grabs underneath in the pass game. In fact, from Week 6 on, he led the Chargers in targets with 0-2 WRs on the field (24% targets). He was a distant 5th in targets (8%) in 3-4 WR sets, however. Compared to the other receivers on the Chargers, Harris' ceiling is just far lower. He doesn't offer much after the catch and on runaway routes with just average athleticism, where Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston can fly. The Chargers gave him a 9.2 average depth of target, which sits below the average for outside receivers. Harris began playing real snaps in Week 6, and from that point on, he only had a 10% target share and 23 YPG as a dynasty only asset. He should play more without Keenan Allen, but now the Chargers have 3 TEs to mix in. It's hard to see him breaking out with McConkey and Johnston healthy. And even without one of them, Harris' skill set is pretty fine to average among NFL starters.
